Adults - Women
Connecting Women to God and Others
- for evangelism - leading our family, friends and neighbors to Christ.
- for discipleship and citizenship - a deeper spiritual life and involvement in community issues.
- for personal and family development - developing ourselves and encouraging Christian family values.
- for service and giving.
Our purpose is to connect women to God, involve them in relationships and ministry to each other, providing avenues and projects for giving and service and developing effective leaders.
Brookings Wesleyan Church offers three major ways to complete these goals:
1. Bible Studies
A Woman’s Heart
Taken primarily from the Book of Exodus, this study will take you on a fascinating journey into why God would chose to live in a wilderness tabernacle, made by human hands. Leader: Cynthia Sheppard (Room B at 9:00 am)
-
Topical Bible Study
This women’s class will explore a variety of topics in Scripture. Leader: Winnie Lanchester (Room B at 10:30 am)
-
Loving More
Loving More is an 8-week video based Bible study by Beth Moore. This study is a great entry-level opportunity for those who have never attended a study or for you to invite friends you’d like to have introduced to the gospel. Leader: Connie Hobbie (Room B, Tuesdays at 9:00 am)
2. Service Ministries
