Do the groups have both married couples and singles?

Most groups are open to all adults whether married or single. However, there are some gender-specific groups and some groups geared toward single college students and young adults.

When and where do groups meet?

Sunday Morning Growth Groups meet during our normal morning services. The Midweek Growth Groups meet during the week both in the evening and during the day. Groups either meet at the church facility or in the home of a group member.

Is childcare provided for Growth Groups?

For groups that meet on Sundays, nursery care and other classes/activities are provided. Children whose parents are in a group that meets on Wednesday evenings are invited to stay in our nursery or attend KidZone, Planet 54 or Student Impact. For groups that meet at other times, childcare is not provided. However, we can provide assistance to those who may want to attend a group, but find child care difficult to afford.

How often do Growth Groups meet?

Groups normally meet weekly during the school year and most take a summer break.

How long do Growth Groups last?

Most groups last for 7-12 weeks. All participants are encouraged to review the new groups offered during any given semester and sign up for a group each time.

How long does each meeting last?

Growth Groups meet for about an hour. Midweek Growth Groups that meet on Wednesday evenings meet for an hour. For other groups, the members decide the length of time they will meet. Most meet for an hour and a half to two hours.

What happens at a Growth Group?

Because of time constraints, Sunday morning groups focus most of their time on the study with some prayer time. Midweek Growth Groups often include some social time along with the study and prayer.

What do Growth Groups study?

Growth Groups will study a book of the Bible or a particular topic like grace or the fruits of the Spirit. Some groups study Biblical principles for finances, parenting or marriage. Others are geared toward helping people deal with issues like divorce, loss of a loved one or addictions.
